Hope Church began as a new congregation of believers in August 2022 and officially launched in February 2023. Through the support and partnership of River City Baptist Church, First Coast Churches, the North American Mission Board, individual donors, and members of the legacy Oak Harbor Baptist Church, Hope Church was planted to faithfully serve the Mayport community.

Today, Hope Church continues as an extension of River City Baptist Church while serving Mayport under the local leadership of Lead Pastor Joshua Graver. River City Baptist Church is led by Lead Pastor Aaron Chan, and together the churches remain united in the mission of making disciples, faithfully teaching God's Word, and reaching their communities with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
